Calls to All Canadians

The Charlton Sustainability Hub (The Hub) recognizes the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) and the right to self-determination of Indigenous Peoples in Canada and around the globe.

The Truth and Reconciliation (TRC) Calls to Action asks all Canadians to adopt UNDRIP declarations as the framework for Reconciliation. The Charlton Sustainability Hub has a responsibility as a corporate entity to uphold TRC Calls to Action regarding Business and Reconciliation, as well as others related to the work of creating equitable and sustainable communities. The Hub shall commit to the declarations laid out in the UNDRIP as our framework for Reconciliation and apply its “principles, norms, and standards to corporate policy and core operational activities involving Indigenous Peoples and their lands and resources”.

All Canadians are responsible for answering the Calls to Action set out by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada.

All Canadians are responsible for answering the Calls for Justice set out by the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG).

All Canadians should be familiar with the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
